Teen Summer Reading Newsletter: Call for Submissions: Posted: May 15, 2013; Submit a review for the Library’s Teen Summer Reading newsletter! We are looking for reviews from teens ages 12 to 18 about books, DVDs, music, or websites that you would recommend to other teens. Deadline: Thursday, June 13.

International Day Against Homophobia: Posted: May 10, 2013; International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) is coming up on Friday, May 17. IDAHO was started in 2003 by the Fondation Émergence, whose goals include “[encouraging] citizens to understand sexual diversity” and “[putting] an end to discrimination based on sexual orientation.” For IDAHO, I would like to offer up my top ten books with GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) characters.

Author Spotlight: Libba Bray: Posted: April 19, 2013; It’s hard to know where to start with Libba Bray. None of her books are much like the others. Most of them aren’t much like anything else I’ve ever read either. But they are all great. Even her website is an entertaining read. So, with no further ado, here is a brief introduction to her books.
