Computers and Wifi

Public Computers

Want to investigate cyberspace, but don't have a computer of your own? Come on down to the Library, where we have 30 public computers in our Adult area, four in our teen area (ages 13-17) and eight in our Children’s area (under 12 only).  Users may sign up for one hour at a time per day.

The Adult and Children’s computers also have Microsoft Word and Excel installed on them. Compose and print your resume using Microsoft Word and print on our laser printer. Printing is $0.20 per page. If you need a disk, we sell them for $1.00 each. Each computer is equipped with a CD ROM drive, and USB ports.

If you wish to learn how to use our public computers, please ask a staff member for assistance.

Wireless Access

The Library provides and maintains a wireless network as a public service. There are no registration procedures. Patrons are responsible for the setup and configuration of their own equipment. This service has been designed to support a wide range of 802.11 b/g (WiFi) notebooks, PDAs and other devices. Printing is not possible from the wireless network. It must be done from the public computers.
