Teen Spring Break Challenge: Video blogs

Are you looking for videoblogs to watch for the Teen Spring Break Challenge? Here are a few ideas of vlogs you can find on YouTube. What are your favourite video blogs? Leave a comment below with your suggestions!

In diary-style vlogs, vloggers talk about pretty much whatever interests them. The vlogbrothers (John and Hank Green) have done relationship advice, rants against pennies, songs about Harry Potter, college advice, jokes, makeup tutorials, rants against censorship, songs about science... and too many other subjects to mention. Other channels: hankgames (in which Hank, his wife Katherine, John, and other friends talk while playing video games), crashcourse (in which John teaches world history and Hank teaches biology), and scishow (in which Hank talks about science).

Another video blog in this style is charlieissocoollike. Charlie McDonnell is a vlogger and musician living in London. Aside from posting his own music, he also does a segment called Challenge Charlie in which his subscribers give him challenges (learn to ride a unicycle, dye his hair red, do the Hoedown Throwdown from the Hannah Montana movie, speak in an American accent...). Other channels: charlieissoboredlike.

My last suggestion for a diary-style blog is italktosnakes (Kristina Horner). Her past projects include the fiveawesomegirls (a group of Harry Potter fans who shared a YouTube channel) and TheParselmouths (a wizard rock band). She is currently working on a web series called Job Hunters.

If you’re interested in vlogs that focus on ideas and information, try CGPGrey (he explains such things as daylight saving time; leap years; copyright; and the difference between the United Kingdom, England, and Great Britain).

SourceFed is a news channel self-described as “Everything that should and shouldn't matter to you explained and broken apart by people who vomit words.” It's a source of gaming, movie, and technology news, as well as current research (e.g. “Secrets Cause Stress and Physical Exhaustion”) and stories about people doing bizarre and crazy things.

If you’re interested in comedy, try nigahiga or RhettandLink, who both do music and comedy sketches.
