Grande Prairie Public Library - discover the possibilitiesToy LibraryPlay is important in stimulating the mental, emotional, and physical development of children. To encourage this development, we offer a circulating Toy Library. This is made possible by a generous on-going donation from the Grande Prairie Elks Lodge 285. The Toy Library is a collection of sturdy, washable toys stored in bags on two large display caterpillars in the Children's Department. Most of the toys are for preschool children, but there are some that will appeal to older children as well. Who may borrow toys?Anyone with a valid Grande Prairie Public Library card, who has also registered in the Children's Department for the Toy Library, may borrow toys. Toys may be borrowed on adult and on children's cards. Parents must sign waiver forms to register themselves and their children. For more information visit the Information Desk in the Children’s Library. How are toys borrowed?People may borrow two toys per family for three weeks. The toy collection is self serve. Toys are borrowed from and returned to the Children's Department. Please do not return toys in the book bin or through the book slot! |
